Biography

German ice dancer Kati Winkler partnered René Lohse at the 1998 Nagano and 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics. They finished tenth and eighth respectively. In 2004 they reached the podium at the World Championships, winning the bronze medal.

Winkler and Lohse won the German national title six times in 1996, 1998-2000, and 2003-04, and were also the last East German Champions in 1990. Winkler became an office clerk by profession, and raised two daughters.
