There were two Robert Cousins, junior and senior. Robert, Jr. was a member of the Merchiston Curling Club, and Robert, Sr. was a member of the Edinburgh Ice Rink. When the final list of eight players to represent Great Britain at the 1924 Olympics was published on 22 January (two days before the team left for the Games), the name of Robert Cousin was not included in the eight men selected by the Royal Caledonian Curling Club of Scotland. There is nothing to suggest the younger Cousin went to Chamonix, unless it was Robert Cousin, Sr., who was 71 at the time, who attended in some official category.
