The son of a Canadian vicar, Charles Boulden was a non-playing reserve with the 1924 Great Britain ice hockey team. He served as a lieutenant colonel in the Royal Canadian Engineers and saw service in Burma and India. He was killed in India in 1944, while attached to the 26th India Division. He was awarded the OBE in December 1943, just one month before his death,
