George Wallace lost to Patrick Fee in the semi-final of the Scottish lightweight Championship in 1907 but the following year gained revenge over Fee, by eliminating him in the semi-final before going on to win his first title at the expense of Greenock’s J. McLaughlin. Wallace and Fee were Scotland’s two representatives in the lightweight division at the 1908 Olympics but Wallace was a non-starter.
