Rino Ferrario was one of the players selected to the Italian national team for the 1952 Helsinki Olympic Games and 1954 World Cup, but did not play in either tournament. Ferrario was one of the biggest players ever on the national team in his era, and was nicknamed “Mobilia” for his rugby player-like physique. A defensive midfielder, he was almost impossible to tackle, and was difficult to get by. With these talents he became a starter at Juventus FC, winning two championships in 1952 and 1958, also winning one Coppa Italia before closing his career at Torino FC at 35-years-old. Ferrario was in Serie A for 11 years with a total of 247 caps, scoring 13 goals. For the Azzurri he earned 10 international caps between 1952-58.
