A non-playing reserve for the 1952 Olympics, Cor Adoptie made his international debút in a 3-1 win over Venezuela at the 1955 Pan American Games, when Curaçao finished third. He then played in the CCCF (Confederación Centroamericana y del Caribe de Fútbol) Championship later that summer and was a member of the silver-medal winning team. He played in three qualifying matches for the 1958 World Cup (in 1957) and won the last of his 10 caps in 3-1 defeat by Haiti in the 1957 CCCF Championship. By profession, Adoptie was a police officer in Curaçao.
