Biography
Román Emery was born in the Basque Country and played with Real Unión in two Copa del Rey (Spanish Cup) finals. Playing as defender or midfielder he won the competition in 1918 after a 2-0 win against Madrid FC, but was on the losing team in the 1922 final against FC Barcelona (1-5). Emery never played for the Spanish national team.
