German ice hockey forward Andreas Lupzig participated in the 1998 Nagano Olympics and finished ninth. In total, he won 103 international caps and scored 13 goals.
At club level, Lupzig played with EV Landshut (1985-89), Kölner Haie (1989-2001), Revierlöwen Oberhausen (2001-02), Ice Tigers Nürnberg (2002), Heilbronner EC (2002-03), Straubing Tigers (2003-05), and Deggendorf Fire (2006-07). In 1995, he helped Köln win the German national title.
Lupzig later took a job as a game observer with Kölner Haie, and started a coaching career. He first coached Köln youth teams and then worked with lower league clubs.
