Pierre Canivet won a curling bronze medal at the 1924 Olympic Winter Games, alongside Georges André, Henri Cournollet, and Armand Isaac-Bénédic. He trained for the 1924 Winter Olympics at Font-Romeu in the weeks preceding the Games. He was later known as a top golfer, and he became director of golf at Fourqueux in 1931 and then in 1937 at Saint-Cloud. Canivet also helped start, and then edited, the magazine Tennis et Golf. Canivet was also a decent tennis player, playing in the French Championships at Roland Garros in 1925 and 1926, and at the 1923 World Hardcourt Championships, although he went out in early rounds each time.
