Panagiotis Manias was a Greek hoopster who competed at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics. He also helped Greece win a bronze medal at the 1955 Mediterranean Games in Barcelona. Manias was a three-time Greek Champion with Panellionos GS. Manias also competed in athletics but never at the Olympics. A solid bridge player, he was a member of the Greek national bridge team.
Manias died under unusual circumstances. In July 2020 the body of a man with his head wrapped in a bag was found on Votsalakia Beach in Piraeus. It was later identified as Manias but no reasons for the unusual death were given.
