German biathlete Alexander Wolf, son of Karl-Heinz Wolf, participated in the 2002 Salt Lake City, 2006 Torino, and 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. He placed eighth in the 15 km mass start in 2006 as his best result. At the 2008 World Championships he enjoyed his greatest moments, winning bronze medals in both the 12.5 km pursuit and relay. Wolf also won three gold medals at the 1999 and 2001 European Championships. Wolf turned to coaching after his active career and became chief national coach of the men’s team in Switzerland in 2020-22. He then coached youth athletes with the German police.
