German alpine skier Sibylle Brauner was a speed specialist placing a disappointing 26th at the 2002 Salt Lake City downhill event. In 1994, she won a bronze medal at the Youth World Championships in the alpine combination. Brauner later worked for the German Ski Association as a physiotherapist to the women’s national team.
