Ice hockey defence Peter Kasper was a member of the Austrian squad participating at the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics. The team lost to Germany and Latvia and won against Slovakia but was eliminated in the group stage and finally placed 12th losing to Switzerland in the final round. Kasper won 42 international caps and scored one goal.
Kasper played at club level with Klagenfurt AC (1990-99), Florida Everblades (1999-2000), HC Innsbruck (2000-04), Vienna Capitals (2004-06), EC Red Bulls Salzburg (2006-07), and DEK Klagenfurt (2006-07). He won National titles with Klagenfurter (1991), Vienna Capitals (2005), and Red Bulls Salzburg (2007).
Kasper later turned to coaching. His son Marco also became an ice hockey professional.
