Sabine Zimmer-Krantz

Sabine Zimmer-Krantz was a German race walker becoming a triple Olympian from Athens 2004 to London 2012. Under her maiden name Zimmer, she finished 16th and 14th at the 2004 and the 2008 Olympics over 20 kilometres. Then, under her married name Krantz, she failed to finish the 20 km in 2012.

In 1998, Zimmer-Krantz won the Youth World Championships 5 km track race, and at the 2000 Junior Worlds she came third, the same as at the U23 European 20 km. Zimmer-Krantz participated in the five World Championships between 2003 and 2011, placing 20th (2003), 23rd (2005) and eighth (2007). She did not finish in 2009 and 2011. At the 2006 Europeans, she came sixth.

Zimmer-Krantz won the 2001, 2005, 2009, 2011 German indoor titles. Outdoors she was the 5 km champion in 2005-06, 2009, 2011, and 20 km champion in 2004-09, 2011-12.
