Biography

Pablo Arraya was a Peruvian tennis player. Arraya played professionally from 1980 to 1991. He achieved his career-best singles rank of 29 in the world in August 1984. Arraya was born in Córdoba, Argentina, and moved to Peru when he was seven. He began playing tennis when he was nine, before becoming a professional in 1980. His best result at a Grand Slam was when he reached the third round of the French Open in 1984. Arraya competed in the singles tournament at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. He lost in the first round to Javier Frana of Argentina. Arraya became the trainer and owner of the Arraya Tennis Academy, based in Key Biscayne, Florida. His sister Laura also played professional tennis.
