Sabrina Mockenhaupt was a German long-distance runner participating at three editions of the Olympics from Athens 2004 to London 2012, finishing 15th, 11th and 17th respectively over 10,000 metres. At the 2005 European Indoor Championships she won a bronze medal over 3,000 metres, and at the Cross-Country European Championships won the individual silver medal in 2002 and team bronze in 2011.
At German National Championships, Mockenhaupt won 40 titles, including the 5,000 metres in 2001-05, 2007-14, over 10,000 metres in 2003-05, 2007, 2009-12, 2016-17, over 10 kilometres road running in 2011-14, 2017, in the half-marathon in 2011, 2016-17, and five more indoor over 3,000 metres in 2004-05, 2007, 2009-10.
Mockenhaupt also took part in several major marathons, finishing seventh in New York and tenth at Boston in 2013. She was also fourth at Berlin in 2010, and sixth at Hamburg in 2015.
