Cinzia Ragusa spent her entire career playing for Orizzonte Catania, after making her début in 1995, except for a period from 2005 to 2007, when she had spells with Rari Nantes Florentia and Rapallo Nuoto.
Ragusa won 12 Italian League titles and five LEN Champions Cups. She joined the national team in 1997 and won gold at the European Championships in Seville. Despite not playing consistently for them, she did return to the team and went on to appear in four more European Championships, three World Championships, two World Cups, and two editions of the World League.
Ragusa was also part of the victorious Italian team at the 2004 Athens Olympics. In 2018, she coached the youth teams of Kosice, Slovakia, and since 2021, the Slovakian women’s under-20 national team. In 2024 Ragusa joined the coaching staff of the Rapallo men’s youth teams.
In 2004 Ragusa received the Collare d’Oro for Sporting Merit from the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).
