Biography

Kevin Bacon was an equestrian who rode for Australia at the 1964, 1968, and 1976 Olympic Games. In 1964, aboard Ocean Foam, he helped Australia to a seventh-place finish in team jumping. Bacon won many international jumping events, including four titles at Madison Square Garden. He also won several Grand Prix events in Paris and Canada. Bacon was also a top snooker player. Bacon was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in 1994. In 2000 he was also given the Australian Sports Medal for his riding accomplishments.
