Biography

Although he was a member of the British three-day event team at the 1948 Olympics, Peter Borwick was as well-known as a respected equestrian judge at some of the best known British events, like the Horse of the Year Show, Badminton, Windsor Horse Show and more. He was also one of the joint Masters for many years of the famous Pytchley Hunt in Northamptonshire.

Before his equestrian days, Borwick was a slow left arm bowler for the Harrow School cricket first XI. He made his County cricket début for Northamptonshire against Leicestershire in 1932, when only 18 years-of-age. He played three games for the County, taking three wickets and scoring 25 runs. Cricket ran in is family, because his maternal grandfather, William George Middleton, played First Class Cricket for the MCC.
