Biography

Ernst Deloch was an active officer (captain) in the Royal Prussian Army and a show jumper. He was born in Karchwitz, nowadays Karchów in Poland. He came in ninth in the individual event at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics on his horse Hubertus. Deloch won a bronze medal in team jumping.

Deloch married Emilie Luise Julie Bertha Wilhelmine Ruth Michaelis-Hauswaldt, with whom he had one son. He was later promoted to major and colonel. During World War II, he was Head of the Wehrmacht Welfare and Supply Office in Oppeln (now Opole in Poland).
