Biography
Ettore Rossi was one of Italy’s most prominent architects during the period immediately before World War II. He designed the General Hospital in Modena, the Reale Circolo Canottieri Tevere Roma rowing club building, the Maternity Hospital in Monterotondo, and a building for the cancelled 1942 Roma Exposition.
With Italy split between the German occupied North and Allied occupied South in 1943, Rossi was appointed President (or Commissioner as was his official title) of the Italian Olympic Committee. He lasted just six months before he was replaced.
