Biography

Frits Brink was a Dutch police officer, politician, mayor, and sports administrator. Brink began his career with the Dutch police force in the 1970s, helping to end two major train hijackings in the country towards the end of the decade. He soon moved into politics, becoming one of the youngest mayors to be elected in the Netherlands. After a long time spent in political circles, Brink also went on to hold high-profile roles in sports administration, including the chair of the Dutch Basketball Association and the President of the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale.
