Biography

Harry Klugmann was an eventer who won a bronze medal with the West German team at the 1972 München Olympics, placing ninth individuall. In 1971 he won his first individual West German title, followed by another one in 1979 and three silvers in 1977, 1978, and 1980. At the Europeans Klugmann claimed a team gold in 1975 and a team silver in 1977, and in 1978 he added a team silver medal at the World Championships. He was awarded the Silver Bay Leaf in 1972, the highest German sports award.
