Biography
Due to the strict quarantine laws in Australia, the equestrian events of the 1956 Olympics were held in Stockholm, Sweden in June, a few months ahead of the Melbourne Games. Reijo Kuistila was one of the three equestrian competitors that Finland sent to compete, with him finishing 36th in the individual event. His teammates Kaarlo Anttinen and Kari Tolvanen did not finish the course, meaning that Finland did not score in the team competition.
