Cord Mysegaes was a three-day event rider who won the team bronze medal at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Individually, he came 13th. In 1994, he won another bronze medal at the World Championships, the same year that he also captured his only national title, before retiring in 1996. Mysegaes became a teacher of arts, mathematics, and sports at the Bassum High School.
