Anke Huber

German tennis player Anke Huber participated in both the 1992 Barcelona and 1996 Atlanta Olympics. In 1992 she partnered Steffi Graf in the doubles but they were eliminated in the third round. In the singles that year, Huber lost in the quarter-finals to the eventual champion Jennifer Capriati. At Atlanta, Huber only competed in the singles, and was eliminated in the third round.

Huber turned professional in 1989 but never won a Grand Slam title. Her highest world ranking was #4 in 1996. In 1992, she was on the winning German Federation Cup team. In 1995, Huber lost to Steffi Graf in the final of the WTA Tour Championship in five sets, and in 1996 lost her only Grand Slam final, losing to Monica Seles at the Australian Open. In 1995, she partnered Boris Becker to win the Hopman Cup.

During her career, Huber won 12 Grand Prix tournaments. She retired in 2001 and the following year became co-tournament director for the annual Porsche Tennis Grand Prix WTA tournament in Filderstadt, Germany.
