Biography

West German eventer Karl Schultz won three Olympic medals: team silver in 1976 at Montréal and bronze in 1972 at München, and also an individual bronze in Montréal. In München he came in 16th. In 1975 he finished eighth at the European Championships. In 1977 Schultz earned two European silver medals, one with the team, and one in the individual event. By profession, he was a farmer who took over his parent’s farm.
