Carl von Moers was an active officer in the Royal Prussian Army and a dressage and three-day-event rider. He came in 12th in the individual dressage on his horse New Bank. He also finished 15th in the individual three-day-event at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics on his horse May-Queen, and won a team silver medal. Von Moers served as a riding teacher in the Gardes du Corps in Hannover.
