Biography

Hansjörg Aemisegger was a Swiss racing cyclist who was active in the late 1970s. Aemisegger represented the Radfahrer-Verein Winterthur cycling team and finished second at the 1975 edition of the Tour du Lac Léman, a one-day race around the shores of Lake Geneva. The following year he won the race to earn himself a place on the Olympic team. At the 1976 Montréal Games he competed in the road race but failed to finish the course. Aemisegger had his best result in 1979 when he became the national road race champion. He retired from the sport shortly after and ran a real estate company in Winterthur.
