Juan Alves was an Argentine cyclist who had a brief career towards the end of the 1960s. In 1968 Alves was selected to ride in the road race at the Mexico City Games, but he did not finish the course. One month later he did better at the World Track Cycling Championships in Montevideo when he won silver with his compatriots in the team pursuit.
