Roberto Amadio was an Italian sports manager and former road cyclist. Amadio raced as an amateur, winning the team pursuit at the 1985 World Championship in Bassano del Grappa and three national titles. He competed at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, finishing fourth in the team pursuit.
Between 1985 and 1989 Amadio was a pro both on the track, winning the Six Days of Bassano, and on the road. His only road victory as a professional came in Spain, winning a stage at the Cinturón Ciclista Internacional in Mallorca. He raced two Tours de France (1987, 1988), retiring on both occasions at stage 14.
In 1992 Amadio began his career as a cycling team manager with the Jolly Componibili-Club 88, a team later renamed Aki and Vini Caldirola, before joining Liquigas, and ending in 2014 with Cannondale. For his sporting achievements, Amadio was awarded a Gold Medal by the Italian Olympic Committee. He also received a bronze medal in 1982 for athletic valor and a gold in 1985 after the world pursuit title.
