Biography

Iranian cyclist Mashallah Amin Sorour was part of the national team that competed at an international team time trial event in Egypt in 1959. As a member of the national team, Sorour then competed at the 1963 Asian Cycling Championships in Malaysia, winning silver in the team time trial and bronze in the team road race. The following year he was selected to compete in the road race and the 100 kilometres team time trial at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. In the former, he finished 81st in the main peloton of riders who were all just 0.2 seconds behind the race winner.
