Biography

Swedish cyclist Karl-Ivar Andersson represented Burseryds IF from the mid-1950s to the early 1960s. In 1956 Andersson finished 17th in the individual road race at the Melbourne Olympics in a group of riders more than two minutes behind the race rider. The following year he finished second in the road race at the national championships and competed in the road race at the UCI World Championships. In 1958 and 1960 Andersson won the Östgötaloppet one-day race, one of the oldest road cycling races in Sweden.
