Malaysian cyclist Michael Andrew briefly represented the national team in the early 1960s. In 1963 Andrew was part of the quartet that won gold in the team time trial at the Asian Cycling Championships in Kuala Lumpur. His performance earned him a place on the Olympic team for the 1964 Games in Tokyo, where he competed in the individual road race, but failed to finish the course.
