Mino Bariviera was an excellent sprinter who turned professional in the year following the 1960 Roma Olympics and remained a pro until 1967. Bariviera had 11 wins including six stages in the Giro d’Italia – three in 1963 (Viterbo, Arezzo, Gorizia), one in 1964 (Verona), and two in 1966 (Chianciano and Trieste in the last stage). He competed once at the Tour de France, in 1964. After retiring from competition, he was director of the Latiesse Spinazzè cycling team for 12 years. In later years he and his brother Renzo Bariviera, a former basketball champion, managed a sports center in Ponte di Piave.
