Hervé Boussard was among the top French amateurs in 1990, when he won the Circuit des Plages Vendéennes. In 1991 Boussard won the Tour de la Somme and the highlight of his career was probably at the 1992 Olympics, where he won a bronze medal in the team time trial with Didier Faivre-Pierret, Philippe Gaumont and Jean-Louis Harel. In 1993, Boussard was second at theGrand Prix de France and third at Les Boucles de l’Artois. From 1994-97 he rode professionally with CM Aubervilliers ’93 team. After finishing his sporting career, Boussard worked as a coach. From 1997-03 he was the coach with Aubervilliers and since 2003 was head coach and manager of Team Wasquehal Junior. Boussard died in summer of 2013 at his home during an epileptic seizure, aged only 47.
