Both a track and a road cyclist Frank Brazier competed at the 1956 and 1960 Olympic Games. He started his career with Petersham Cycle Club before moving to St. George in 1955. That year he lapped the field twice to win the Australian 10-mile title, his first senior national championship. In 1958 Brazier won silver in a bunch sprint in the road race at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games. He again competed at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in 1962, shortly after winning the Australian road race title. He worked for many years as a fitter, turner, and bicycle mechanic.
