Swedish cyclist Gösta Carlsson had an impressive list of results during his career, winning a dozen national titles from 1925 to 1932. Riding for SK Fyrishof in Uppsala, Carlsson won his first national title with victory in the 100 km team time trial. He then went on to dominate in the time trial disciplines, winning the individual and team classification over 100 km, along with the 10 km team race for three consecutive years from 1926 to 1928. He won another 100 km team classification in 1931, followed by the 10 km team time trial title a year later. In between all his success in Sweden, Carlsson also won two bronze medals at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics, finishing third in both the individual and team road races. After his cycling career he worked as a primary school teacher.
