Giovanni Cazzulani

Giovanni Cazzulani was an Italian cyclist. Known as a rouleur, he won the 1932 Italy Cup with U.S. Milanese and then competed at the 1932 Los Angeles Olympics where he was seventh in the road race.

As a pro Cazzulani had two good seasons. In 1934 he was runner-up in Milano-Sanremo and third at the Giro d’Italia. In 1936 he won the Tour di Toscano (with Gino Bartali in unexpected difficulty at the end of the race) and was second at the Italian road race championship behind the Olympic champion Giuseppe Olmo and third at the Tour of Piedmont won by Aldo Bini.

Cazzulani competed for many teams including Gloria, Bianchi, Legnano and Battisti-Aquilano. He raced five times at the Giro d’Italia: 1934 (3rd), 1936 (12th), 1937 (21st), 1939 (19th) and 1940 (abandon) and competed in one Tour de France (1934) with a 16th place overall finish.
