Biography

Guillaume Coeckelberg excelled on both the track and roads as a cyclist. In 1906 he placed third at Paris-Bruxelles, while in 1907 he was Belgian champion on the track in the match sprint. In his Olympic year of 1908 he placed second earlier in the year in the Tour de Belgique, showing off his road skills. In 1910 Coeckelberg repeated as Belgian sprint champion. His brother also competed in cycling at the 1908 Olympics.
