Biography

During the late 1960s Belarusian cyclist Aleksandr Dokhlyakov represented the Soviet Union. Dokhlyakov had a strong start to his career when he became the Soviet road race champion in 1966, and finished second in the Peace Race the same year. One year later he was part of the quartet that finished fifth in the team time trial at the UCI Road World Championships. His consistent performances earned Dokhlyakov a place on the Olympic team for the 1968 Mexico City Games, where he placed ninth in the team time trial.
