After the 1932 Olympics, Médoche Fournier turned professional and had a long career, racing in the pro peleton thru 1950. His biggest wins were the 1932 Paris-Rouen race and the 1934 Circuit de l’Indre. He raced the Tour de France twice, in 1936 and 1939, finishing 47th in 1939. In 1934 he was second at the Grand Prix de Nations road time trial, and third in that race in 1938. After World War II, Fournier turned to the track and was third in the French motor-paced championships in 1950. He also competed frequently in six-day races in the 1940s.
