Biography

Hans Goldschmid was an Austrian cyclist who participated in the 1948 London Olympics. He was eliminated in the heats of the 4,000 metres team pursuit. He also competed in the road race but could not finish the course. Consequently, the team was unplaced.

Goldschmid won the national tandem title with Karl Wölfl in 1946, and the sprint titles in 1946 and 1947. In 1947, he won the Vienna – Graz – Vienna stage race, and the following year was second in the Austrian Tour.
