Walter Gorini was an Italian track cyclist who competed at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics in the tandem sprint alongside Luigi Borghetti, unfortunately losing the bronze medal match. He started with the Mago Club of Barbiano, then joined Pedale Fusignanese. Gorini was Italian Champion in the kilo time trial in 1966, and 1968-69. He also win the Italian tandem sprint title in 1966-68 with Giordano Turrini and in 1969 with Mauro Orlati.
Gorini and Turrini won bronze in tandem sprinting at the 1966 World Championships and then in 1968 won gold at Montevideo. Gorini never turned professional and was later awarded a Gold Medal by the Italian Olympic Committee.
