Biography

In 1950 Danish cyclist Helge Hansen won a one-day race around the streets of København. Two years later Hansen competed in the individual road race at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics, finishing 52nd overall and sixth in the combined team event. He continued to race for a couple more years, winning the team classification at the 1953 Nordic Championships and placing third in the road race at the Danish national championships a year later.
