Biography

Olaf Holmstrup was a Danish track cyclist who represented the Aarhus Bane Klub in the 1950s. In 1952 Holmstrup was selected to ride in the 2,000 metres tandem sprint with Jens Juul Eriksen at the Helsinki Olympics. The pair were eliminated the quarter-finals by the Australian duo of Lionel Cox and Russell Mockridge, who eventually went on to win gold.
