Biography

Xavier Isasa was a track rider, who specialized in pursuit races. He was second in the Spanish team pursuit championship in 1987, and also second in 1988 in the Spanish individual pursuit championship, moving up that year to ride on the national team pursuit champion. After the 1988 Olympics, Isasa won Spanish titles in the 1989 Madison and in the 1990 team pursuit. He was also second nationally in the team pursuit in 1989 and 1991. Isasa rode one major six-day event, that at Bassano del Grappa in 1989, in which he placed 18th.
