Harry Kent was a track sprint cyclist who competed at the 1972 München Olympics. Kent was gold medalist in the sprint at the 1970 Commonwealth Games, for which he was named New Zealand Sportsman of the Year in 1970. He also finished second that year at the World Championships behind Denmark’s Niels Fredborg. Kent won numerous New Zealand titles. He was inducted into the Cycling New Zealand Wall of Fame at the Cambridge Avantidrome.
