Stefan Kirev was a Bulgarian track cyclist who won nine national championships during his career and set several records both as a junior and senior rider. In 1964 Kirev was selected to compete in the 1,000 metres time trial at the Tokyo Olympics where he placed 15th. In 2012 he was elected as an honorary citizen of the municipality of Pavel Banya by the municipal council.
