Biography

Amateur Luigi Magnotti raced in the fuori classe in the 1920s, which meant that, despite being an amateur, he could race alongside professionals. He competed at the 1924 Olympics, finishing 20th in the individual road race, and fifth in the team event. His best result was a first place in the 1924 Giro di Romagna, beating fellow Italians Nino Bregalanti and Livio Cattel. Magnotti competed in just one Giro d’Italia (1924).
